A beautiful day greeted us at The Gallagher Stadium, home of Maidstone united, for our Super League Cup Final against West Kent.

The game was really tough. Both teams showing real quality, playing football to a high standard. Both teams had times in the game where they dominated, but we created the clearer chances in the first 10 minutes and went 1-0 through Eloise. The game ebbed and flowed and West Kent came back into the game with a long range effort, 1-1 at half time. Early in the second half we conceded from a very good finisher, putting us down 2-1. Credit to the Girls, they never gave in, especially as everyone was tiring. Its a very hot place pitch side in the sun at Maidstone. Gabby sneaked one back with 10 minutes to go, 2-2! In the closing seconds we had a shot which could have settled it, but also it didn’t go in. So the dreaded Extra Time beckoned. Tiredness seemed to disappear and the game was end to end in extra time. There was about 3 minutes to go when Erin scored!! 3-2. From there on we saw the game out, cue the celebrations!!

Full Time: ODPSFA 3 – 2 West Kent (AET)

We are extremely proud of the Girls!
