Today, the Orpington blues battled hard against Erdington and saltley.it was a tough game although we came from one nil down to two one up by the end of the first half. Unfortunately, the lads switched off towards the end and the opposition scored, it was now 2-2. It was a tight game until Mark Cahill broke through scoring a screamer but unfortunately due to the ref’s decision the goal was disallowed from then on the boys head dropped thinking there was no way out of a draw or losing the game. Although there was still hope the boys carried on fighting until the end. During the last quarter of the game, the boys started to almost “give up”, until Ben Duncan had a last-minute run, he went past one and rolled Will in. Will was clearly through, or we at least had a chance of scoring another goal. Sadly, the ref blew the final whistle and the game was over.
