Today the blue squad played Potters Bar in a match where both sides fought hard to win. Just under a minute in to the game, Mark Cahill placed a wonderful ball to Will Coates who slotted it into the bottom left corner to put the blues 1-0 up. A few minutes later Potters Bar won a corner which was put into the box and tapped in by their defender. The game was now there to be won. We held on till half time. After the half time break, both teams returned on to the pitch and battled out the 2nd half. It was a very tight and well battled second half with both teams having good chances but with 5 minutes left Potters Bar scored from another corner. The blues heads were down and there was only 4 minutes to get an equaliser. Potters Bar thought they had won and late on the blues had a chance with a freekick. The ball was whipped in by Mark Cahill and the defender made a solid clearance but Teddy won the ball back and put a brilliant ball in to Bradley May who headed home an equaliser. The blues now knew they could go on to win the game but the referee blew the final whistle and the game was over. The blues had put in a solid performance and got a good point.
