Jersey Festival: Blues 5 v Newbury 1

In our match this morning, we won 5-1 against newbery district. Towards the start of the game, no goals were scored but we had most of the possesion and had a few chances.

A couple minutes later Sunny did a one-two with Anuerin and he darted off beating three defenders and going on too slot it bottom corner past the keeper.

In the second half, Newbury's keeper decided to hit a long ball over the top trying to have an opportunity to score but Sunny being the solid defender he is got in front of him and won the ball. He then dribbled to line himself up to get a good shot on goal outside the box. He then took the shot hitting the sweetspot as it knuckleballed into the top right corner (it was an absoloute worldie).

Later into the second half Fin did brilliantly to win a corner. Freddie then took the corner and whipped it in the box hitting Dexters slabhead and going straight into the back of the net.

After that Dexter succesfully dribbled through a few players and played a through ball to Fin and he took a shot which trickled into the back of the net.

With not long left to go Newbury won the ball and the striker hit it into the bottom corner. After that Harry dribbled through a couple of players and smashed it into the roof of the net.

The final whistle blew, and it was a good performance from the boys.
